WORKSHOP FOR IMPROVING THE ACCREDITATION FORM OF Doctoral Program of Language Education Science

 

Visitation is an activity carried out to see the atmosphere of a study program at a university conducted by an assessor to clarify, verify, and validate data and information that has been submitted by the manager of the study program through filling out accreditation forms.

The Doctoral Program of Language Education Science has compiled and sent accreditation forms to the National Accreditation Body for Higher Education some time ago. At this time the management of the Language Education Science doctoral program was preoccupied with preparing for the accreditation visitation. In addition to meeting perceptions of the contents of forms, a Workshop on Completion of Forms and Collecting Evidence and Attachments of Forms was also held. This activity was held on Friday - Saturday, 11-12 April 2014 at the Hotel Wisma Joglo Yogyakarta. 

This activity was opened by the Head of LES doctoral program, Prof. Sugirin, Ph.D. As the person in charge of the accreditation, he expects input, opinions and suggestions to complete the accreditation forms. In addition, the preparation of revised tasks and evidence for each standard needs to be done to strengthen the preparation for visitations in the near future. Finally, he expressed his gratitude for the assistance and cooperation in the preparation of accreditation forms.

This workshop was attended by 11 LES lecturers according to those listed in the doctoral program form. In addition, attending the workshop was the director of Graduate School UNY, Prof. Dr. Zuhdan Kun Prasetyo, M.Ed. Also present were the quality assurance coordinator, Dr. Teguh Setiawan as well as several Language Education Science and Applied Linguistics students who helped compiling forms from the start.

Acting as a reviewer, Dr.rer.nat. Senam, provides notes on the contents of the forms that have been sent to the National Accreditation Body for Higher Education. Comments and input are given for each of these standards to improve the contents of the forms that have been sent.  Head of Applied Linguistics study program, Prof. Dr. Haryadi as the LES lecturer also contributed in the form of a list of attachments and physical evidence as well as documents of each standard that had to be prepared during the visitation. In addition, he is also responsible for the matter of research results and lecturers' community service which also aims to increase the score of accreditation.

The output of this workshop was in the form of refinement of doctoral program and graduate school forms, mastery distribution of each standard in forms, and preparation of evidence and form attachments that should be available at the time of visitation. (Rb)
